Please use this site to order your gown and beret for MICA's Commencement Ceremony on May 16, 2022. Regalia is not required for commencement events, however, we encourage you to wear your beret/regalia for the May celebration.
The tradition of Academic Regalia goes back to the 12th century and a similar gown to the ones used today has been worn by academics ever since. In the 1960s, soft berets became part of MICA’s academic regalia and they are the modern-day symbol of a MICA graduation. Master's hoods will be provided to those who earned advanced degrees at the Commencement Ceremony.
Important Dates:
Regalia orders may be picked up from the MICA Store, 1501 Mount Royal Avenue, from 9 AM - 5 PM starting Tuesday, May 10 (noon - 5 PM on Saturday, Closed Sunday). Regalia will also be available for pickup from 9 AM-noon, Monday, May 16. Please direct all questions to events@mica.edu.
